Upright Baby Grand Piano

Can you kindly tell me how much an antique (more than 100 years old) but rebuilt upright baby grand piano would cost or how much a person should sell one for. The wood on the piano alone is beautiful mohogany and was kept in great shape. Can you recommend a website that I can go to?

My oldest daughter was given a $1000.00 for the piano and I would like to know if that was enough. She accepted that amount because she said it would cost to much to move the piano to Seattle and before talking to me.

I know how much it costs to move furniture from the Midwest to Seattle and I just want to make sure that she was given enough for the piano and if not then I have information in black and white and she should be able to ask for more than what she was given.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

ANSWER

Hi, Angie--

I have no way of determining the value of a piano. I doubt that the piano would sell for $1000. on the open market, so your daughter probably got a very good deal.

You could try going to:

and asking Todd if you need further information.

Thank you so very much for your prompt response!!

Though I went to the website you suggested Antique-Pianos/Todd-Lindeblad, I found out that it is "MAXED OUT" for questions :-(

However, the feedback that you have given me and knowing that you are very knowledgeable; that is enough for me.

Thank you!!
