I was wondering what the differences were between a sound percussion 5 piece kit and a sound percussion Pro 5 piece kit ?

Hi, Krock--

Here are the specs for both sets:

Sound Percussion Pro 5-Piece Drum Set

* Pro 5-piece Drum Shell Pack
* 22" x 16" kick
* 12" x 9" rack tom
* 13" x 10" rack tom
* 16" x 16" floor tom
* 14" x 5-1/2" snare drum
* 8-ply basswood shells
* 45-degree bearing edge
* Chrome rims and lugs
* Telescopic bass drum spurs
* Heavy-duty tom arm with memory lock
* Double-ply batter heads

* Chain-drive bass drum pedal
* Double-braced snare stand
* (2) Double-braced boom cymbal stands
* Double-braced hi-hat stand

Sound Percussion 5-Piece Drum Set

# Drum sizes:
# 22" x 16" kick drum
# 12" x 9" and 13" x 10" toms
# 16" x 16" floor tom
# 14" x 5-1/2" matching snare

Hardware included:
# Hi-hat stand
# Snare stand
# Kick pedal
# Straight cymbal stand

So it appears that the main difference is in the quality of the hardware--the pro set has double braced stands and a better BD pedal.
