I am a beginner and i'm worried about something

Im trying to tune a guitar with an online tuner and im worried that the strings will snap. The guitar pegs are easy to turn and the last time i tried to tune my guitar the strings snapped. I am asking if the guitar pegs are tuned loosely is there a high possibility that the strings will snap?

I just got it fixed from a store and I dont want it to snap again.
