The basis of this song is an eighth note "swing" groove where the eights notes are played as triplets. The drum part is surprisingly simple compared to the outlandish funkiness of the bass line.
About the most complicated thing that happens during the Verses and the Chorus is triplets between the Snare drum and Bass drum.
The most interesting part of this tab comes during the Outro where, followed by a measure of 2/4 time, the tempo switches from 144 to 160 BPM and the eights become straight eights. Then the pattern becomes quarter notes on the Hi Hat with 16th notes on the Bass drum on the second and fourth beats.
This tab will be a lot of fun for almost any drummer. The skills required can be easily learned by following the sheet music and playing against the funky bass part on the song is exhilarating.New
