Can I Use Felt Strips to Muffle My Drums?

Is it ok to use felt strips under each drum head?

Hi, Dennis--

You COULD use felt strips but then you have the difficulty of attaching them and controlling the degree to which the drum is muffled.

A much easier and more convenient alternative is to use Rem O's. They are relatively inexpensive and very effective as well as easy to use. I use them on all of my drums.
