Can a Right Handed Double Bass Pedal be Switched to Left Handed?

I play left-handed. And I was wondering if its possible to switch a right footed double bass pedal to a left footed? How much trouble would that be?

Hi, Justin--

If you are VERY mechanically inclined and have a LOT of tools, then it might be possible. How much trouble would it be? TONS of trouble and you might end up ruining the pedal for no reason.

Best to invest in a Left Handed pedal.

I just bought one from DW and it is right handed. There was no block to check for lefties so I figured it could be easily converted. If I can't switch it I will be pissed!!!
