Best Keyboard for Band

I am a keyboardist just joining my first band. right now i have a kid's keyboard that works fine, but isn't stage worthy (Yamaya PSR 282). I need a keyboard that i can use on stage. i want it to be capable of layering and mixing sounds, and being able to map out the keyboard (so that different keys/regions have different assigned sounds).
