We have a 1978 Fender Jazz Bass and I am not sure what to call the finish on it. I have attached a photo. Do you know what the name of the finish is? Thanks!

ANSWER

Hi,Deb--

Your guitar is CBS Era Manufacture. It has an alder body, a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. It has a fixed bridge and two J-style pickups, two tone controls, and a
tortoiseshell/metal pickguard and a finger rest the hardware is chrome.

The finish is Olympic White .
