Simple Gibson Sg Special question? Please Help!!!

I just bought a Gibson Sg Special off of Amazon. It just came in the mail today and plays great. After looking at photos of the Gibson Sg Special online, I noticed that there is an "Sg" on the front of the headstock. My guitar does not have this little detail? What's up with that? As far as I know this is a 2010 model and I believe the 2010 models have the detail (as I seen in photos online). If you could shed some light on this it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

ANSWER

I'm not sure why this would be the case. Perhaps the best thing to do would be to contact Amazon and ask them about this discrepancy.

Just go to the Amazon website and follow the "Help" link. Down toward the bottom of the page you will find a "Contact Us" button.

Alternately, you could contact the Gibson company and ask them about this issue. They would definitely be able to tell you if any 2010 models were made without the SG on the headstock.
