Playing Guitar in Dim or Dark Light

What tips does anyone have playing on the correct fret when the light at a gig is so dim you can't see the fret markers on top of the neck of the guitar

Here are a couple of ideas--

1. Invest in some of the new Ultra Portable Stage Lighting. Here is an affordable example: Eliminator Lighting Pack

Your band really needs lights in order to be seen, so this option will serve 2 important purposes!

2. Paint a small dot of "glow-in-the-dark" paint on each of your fret markers.
