Piano Tuning--How Often?

How often should I tune my piano?

ANSWER

Once a year is normally sufficient if the piano remains in one location.

It is a good idea to wait until the weather has stabilized after a season change so that the wood has a chance to settle into where it is going to be for a while.

You will also want to have the piano tuned a short period of time after it is moved to a new location.
