Key Signature At Start of Piano Sheet Music

by asker

What does that ## mean at the start of a piano sheet. i know if its after a note, it means that note's sharp. but at the start? like sometime it can be just 1 # and at other times 4 ####?

What you are seeing is called the "Key Signature". This tells you which notes are sharp or flat THROUGHOUT THE PIECE.
