Is there something wrong with my guitar?

I've heard that strings that are closer to the fretboard are really easy to press down but i can barely play chords on the 1st 3 frets because they're so close. The open strings don't buzz but some strings will continue to buzz even though I'm fretting them correctly; the D string on the 2nd fret buzzes even when my finger is in the middle of the fret so I can't play an A chord. I've been (trying to) play for almost 2 months & I practice for at least an hour a day so I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Please help.

ANSWER

Hi, Tina--

The best thing to do is to take your guitar to a qualified repair person. There are adjustments that can be made so that the buzzing will not happen. This is not an expensive adjustment.

That is the best I can do without actually seeing the guitar.
