1939 C.F. Martin Guitar serial number 71870, circa 1939, early, four numbers past the end of 1938, Model number D-18, Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides. Original tuning machines. No cracks,some abrasions from playing. Orginal finish, usual patina, some crazing. All orginal. Nut with is 1 11/16", not 1.75 as on some earlier guitars.
