Fingering For Blues Scales on Piano

by mike
(los angeles)

I have confusion about left and right hand fingering for the blues scales for the left hand in the key of c ( this rule should hold for all keys though) i begin with the thumb and then e flat with the index finger. f is the thumb, fsharp is the index finger, g is the thumb, bflat is the inde finger c is the thumb once again

Is this correct and where can i find a chart for both right and left hands

thank you

Answer

Hi, Mike--

Try this:

RH 1 3 1 2 3 4 5

C Eb F F# G Bb C

LH 5 3 1 4 3 2 1
