EMG Pickups--Which ones are best for metal?

I was wondering whats the best emg pickups for playing clean tones and distortion (metal)???

ANSWER

Hi, C. Beardy--

In my opinion, the best EMG pickups for metal are the EMG 81 and 85 active pickups. They are being used on the Epiphone SG Prophecy and are really amazing for the sound that they produce, both clean and distorted.
