Tama was my 1st choice and I stick with it. Excellent quality and over all experience. I recommend this product as much for beginners as for those who would like to switch for a more serious set that really sounds great.
Sound
If you got neighbors make sure they at least 100 yards away.:) This set rocks,.. I intend to change the heads and also the cymbals. I'm a Zildjian fan. I was pretty much impressed by the free cymbal kit though. Just changed to double bass pedal. Got pretty much all I need for now.
Features
I never got to use the bass drum pedal. That depends on what you playing,..of course. Wish it had an option to choose from. The cymbals are a fine plus. A pair of cheap drumsticks at least wouldn't harm to be included in the set. I ended up as the hunter who had the gun but no bullets for couple of days hence I gave away all my sticks with the old set I owned :))
Ease of Use
Easy setup, excellent description and also a DVD you can watch for step by step installation and tuning.
Quality
Got the vintage red. Absolutely beautiful dark red tones. Milder and rather bordeaux than some screaming color I was concerned about. Strong built, fine work on it. Excellent !
Value
Considering the free cymbals, best deal you can have.
Manufacturer Support
Smooth transaction !
The Wow Factor
I'm 5'8"/136 Lbs metal-girl so I kinda disappear behind the drums but feels amazing to play it. And yes,..I love the color that matches with my Ibanez guitars and bass.
