by Michael

Yamaha SE 250

Yamaha SE 250

Hi, i have just purchased one second hand and I would like to know what the approximate value is and the years that this Guitar was in production. Also if there is a owners manual for this Guitar.

Thank you
Michael

ANSWER

Hi, Michael--

This model is not listed in the Blue Book

Here is some general info:

SE-250
Japan
Available 1986 to 1992
Pick Ups: 2 Yamaha Humbuckers.
Neck: Mahogany.
Fingerboard: Rosewood.
Number of Frets: 22.
Scale Length: 24 ¾ inches.

I was able to find reference on the Internet that owners have purchased these guitars for $100.-350.

As far as I know, there is no owners manual.

Lynne

pot splitter
by: Anonymous

the push pull pot is a coil splitter. it turns your double coil bridge pickup into a single. i used to have one of these things in the 80s. impossible to knock out of tune if set up right.

push pull knob
by: Anonymous

Hi! The push-pull knob let you use the humbucking sound of the humbucker when it is in normal position..when you pull it the humbucker splits to single coil. In this way you can chose to use a humbucker and single coil general configuration or a single coil and single coil configuration. Bye

Yamaha guitar
by: Bob

I don't know what Lynne has but my Yamaha SE250 has 1 humbucker and a single pick-up. I don't have a manual with mine either and I discovered that the one dial has a push-pull action that I don't know what it does. But the guitar is great. I have a few more expensive guitars and I really like this one. )Another one I like is my Epiphone Les Paul Jr, in white, that sells for $100 US. Great first guitar, if anyone's looking for a beginner guitar. Even experienced players will like these two.
