Yamaha FGX-413SC-12

by Chuck
(IL)

Just picked up a Yamaha 12 string electric acoustic. Any idea of value or age? The serial number is FGX-413SC-12.

ANSWER

Hi, Chuck--

That number is the model number, not the serial number. Here is the Blue Book general info:

FGX413SC-12 Cutaway Electric 12-String

Similar to the FG413S, except has a single smooth cutaway and System 46 electronics with three-band EQ, volume, and AMF slider controls, available in Natural finish, mfg. 2002-04.

The Pricing info:

Excellent $250 - 300
Average $135 - 175

Excellent instrument
by: E.W.-NC

Bought mine new about six years ago, loved it the moment I picked up and played it. I lowered the action a little to my liking, although it played fine as was. I've always kept fresh strings on it and kept it in the case when not in use. I looks and sounds as great as the day I bought it.

Adjusting Action
by: boJim

Has anyone adjusted the action on their FGX? Mine has become too high and I want to do it myself. I would appreciate any tips. Many thanks.
