Yamaha CJ-838

I've had this guitar for many years and am unable to play any more and would like to sell it at a fair price.

Hi, Norman--

The Blue Book does not list this model. I could find almost NO information about it on the internet. Here is a link to a discussion. One person mentions buying this guitar for #300:

Hi. Out of interest I've been scanning the web looking for info about my Yamaha CJ-838S. I'm surprised that this guitar is classed as 'vintage' and is fetching very good prices... typically USD800-1200... but it is...

I bought mine in 1976 and it's been regularly played and gigged since. It still plays beautifully even with a few bumps and scratches and 3y old strings.. I paid GBP200 in 1976 so as guitars are getting cheaper, this baby is obviously rated highly for quality and sound.. on the 2nd hand/used market..

I'm just up to 61 and still having great fun playing and singing and for accoustic/folk type soft stuff, this baby is terrific...
