Windsor Accousitc
Windsor Headstock
Hello, I have an windsor acoustic guitar.
I was wondering what the value of this might be.
It originally had a metal pick guard on it, but that
was lost at some point. The tuners were changed out.
Inside the body there are 2 stamps,
L6727 and P4
I would like to know a little more about it.
Currently it has just been used as a decoration.
Its not all that easy to play. But I was considering
having it restored.
Thanks

ANSWER
Hi, Aaron--
The Blue Book says only this:
The Windsor trademark was a House Brand for Montgomery Wards around the turn of the century (circa 1890s to mid-1910s). These beginner´s grade acoustic flattop guitars and mandolins were built by various American manufacturers such as Lyon & Healy and possibly Harmony.
There is no value information provided and I could find nothing on the internet. Typically these "House Brand" guitars are not considered worth a lot of money.
