ANSWER

Hi, Nurzahidah,

Scales are the building blocks of all music. In the beginning, they are extremely effective exercises for developing speed and dexterity.

A little later, they will enable you to do solos or leads. And a little further down the road, scales will be the basis of your knowl3dge about how chords are put together and how to compose your own songs.
