Why is my G string sharp?

i just bought a new american strat. thought i was making all fretted notes sound sharp, so i got a set of 11 gauge strings and had a guitar shop set my guitar up for the increased tension on the neck. got the guitar back and every thing's awesome.... except the g string. playing it open or at the octave is perfect, however in between its all sharp... help!??

Hi, Jared--

The best thing to do is to take it back to the guitar shop and have them take a look at it. It is hard for me to offer any advice in a situation like this because I cannot see or hear the guitar.

It is probably that the neck or the bridge still needs some adjustment.
