Which New Drum Set Should I Buy?

by Nick
(UK)

Hi,

I am looking a buying a new drum kit (around £700/$1000).

I was looking at the mapex pro m which looked very nice and good value, but i heard its been discontinued and didnt want to buy a drum kit that was about to be stopped.

Which kit would be a good choice?

Also, my current kit is quite large, I want to have smaller toms, which would be a good choice?
12/13/16/22 or
10/12/14/22 or
10/12/14/20? (probably not this one as i think the bass will not be deep enough)

Thanks very much.

ANSWER

Hi, Nick--

I went shopping for you. This one looks good. It is a brand new product and since it is 6 piece, you can use the smaller toms and still get good low sounds with the 2 floor toms.

Yeah, that kit looks very nice, i think thats the one thats replacing the pro m.
I also dont think its avaliable in the UK yet, but i spoke to a music shop here and they said it will probably be in in the next month!!
Probably worth the little bit extra cash.

thanks very much for the tip!

Nick.
