What Year Was Nippon Gakki no100 Made?

I just got a guitar as a gift from a friend and we can't seem to find out anything about it . It is according to the sticker inside no 100 Nippon gakki serial #569847k. Would really like to know how old it is. It has a beautiful sound and is in very good condition.Love it but would like to know more about it. Thanks for any help.

Hi, Julie--

This guitar was made by Yamaha. Unfortunately, there is no way to track down the serial number for identification of the year of manufacture, but we have info from the Yamaha Company that says this guitar was manufactured from '64-'67.

The guitar is not listed in the Blue Book, but I have seen them for sale on the internet from $80 to $165.
