What is the Value of my Martin 00-18C?

by April
(Louisiana)

I have a Martin guitar with the numbers 00-18C, 202998....could you please tell me how much it is worth and the year it was made?
Thanks!!
April

ANSWER

Hi, April--

The serial number indicates that your guitar was manufactured in 1965.

Here is the general info:

00-18C Classical
- similar to the 00-18, except in classical nylon string configuration with a 12-fret body, 12/19-fret fingerboard, slotted headstock, fan bracing, and a tied bridge, 26.44 in. scale, total production of 4,351 instruments, available as a Special Order, mfg. 1962-1992.

The pricing info:

1962-1969

Excellent $1,200 - 1,500
Average $850 - 1,000

1983 Martin 00-18
by: Anonymous

To tag onto the previous thread. I'm looking at an 1983 steel string Martin 00-18. It's in clean condition. cedar top and rosewood back and sides. What do you think it's worth?
