What is the difference between gretsch catalina maple "euro" and catalina maple "fusion"? So far all I see is different tom mounts
ANSWER
Hi, Bill--
I can honestly say--I Don't Know! The "euro" seems to be what Gretsch used to call the now "fusion"--maybe. Some sites show the fusion only and some the euro only. The euro sets seem to be dated 2007 and the fusion, 2008.
I think that maybe the name was changed and that the new hardware is just part of an update in 2008.
Normally fusion indicates a different size, but this appears not to be the case with these drums.
