What is the age of my Sigma DR-41, made in Japan?

I have a Sigma guitar mod. DR-41. I know there is probably no way to find out the exact year it was made, but does anyone out there know what years Japan made DR-41's? James Gentry

ANSWER

Hi, James--

Sigma guitars were made in Japan from 1970-1983. The Model lines, including the DR-41, were added in 1980. So it appears that your guitar was built sometime between 1980 and 1983.
