Ventura V-500 Lady Nelson

by Karen Blackwell
(Houston, Texas)

Ventura Lady Nelson

Ventura Lady Nelson

I bought this new a long time ago when I wanted to learn to play guitar, but I just couldn't do well. I have kept it all this time thinking someone would like it in the family. But Noooooooo! So I would like to sell it. Could you tell me what it is worth?
Thank you,
Karen Blackwell

ANSWER

Hi, Karen--

Pretty guitar! (Thanks for the donation!)

The Blue Book has only this to say about Ventura guitars:

"Instruments previously produced in Japan circa 1970s.
Ventura guitars were distributed in the U.S. market by C. Bruno & Company of New York, New York. Generally medium to good quality versions of popular American models."

Not very helpful---

I found one on Craigslist for $1200. Here is a link to another one for sale:

Lady Nelson Parlor Guitar

Hope this gives you some idea. You might want to list it on our Guitar Classifieds page.

Best Wishes,
Lynne

Willie nelson

Mine also says Model N. willie nelson with his name hand signed. I thought it was original, but I guess there are a few more out there. I really wish someone could tell me the value or more info about the guitar. I suspect that Willie handsigned certain models of the guitar because he was involved with the San Antonio Factory somewhat. If any has any info, please respond.

My Lady Nelson label is identical to the one shown by Karen. [i.e.]Lady Nelson made in Japan V--500,no Willie Nelson. I have 33 autographs on mine, starting with Willie & Family.

Willie Nelson Ventura Guitar
by: tim

I have the same guitar but the label reads Willie Nelson, no V-500 or Lady Nelson. Has anyone seen them with the Willie Nelson label?
