Traveling with cymbals

by Clifford Koufman

I have a gig and need to fly. I am bringing cymbals and am wondering what people often do in this situation. I'd like to carry on the cymbals. Will the Humes & Berg Enduro Series 22" Tilt and Pull Cymbal Case fit in an overhead?

If this doesn't work what do people recommend?

Thanks.

ANSWER

Hi, Clifford--

Some overhead bin sizes differ, depending in the type of plane.

In general, The biggest that will fit in most overheads is 23" long (including the wheels),10" high and is 14 1/2" wide.

I could not find the measurements of your cymbal case, but if it ism within the above limits, it should fit.

If not, then you will probably have to check it.
