Styles of Guitar Music

When playing an acoustic guitar, are there different styles of play. The type of style and play demonstrated in Spanish style music seems so very different? If this is so, does that mean you are required to learn differently?

Yes, there are many different styles of guitar music. Spanish music is usually played on a Classical (as opposed to Acoustic) guitar and definitely requires specific training.
