Is sound percussion a good drum set brand?

ANSWER

Hi, Jake--

Sound Percussion drums are a budget series made by DW drums. I would expect them to be of good quality as are DW drums, but just made with less expensive materials and technology.

The best thing to do is to play the kit that you are wondering about. If you like the sound, then the drums are good for you.

I just bought it and love it.not only is a cool looking set but it plays so good! Highly recommended for beginners and experienced drummers!

Sound Percussion Drums

I'm a professional drummer, for the rock band Mantis, I purchased the pro 8 piece in black, I bought them as a practice set, they came with great hardware., I changed all the stock heads with Remo's, and added a little better beaters, I use Sabian matched cymbals, and I tell you this, these drums play just as well as my Ludwigs, I used them on a short tour with the band and had no problems at all with the sound, or any projection with this set. As with any new drums, make sure all nuts and bolts are tight. They have great stage presence, and under lights, look great. I do recommend this set. Sound Percussion also has a full line of accesories, and hardware., that is just as good as the big boys if not better......
