Sleepyhead by Passion Pit.

by Marmaduke
(Groves, Texas, United States)

I need help with this song.

It's called Sleepyhead by Passion Pit.
If I perform the song well I might get a scholarship
which I desperately need.
Mostly the keys for the first verse when the guy's singing.
I need it. Thanks

ANSWER

Hi, Marmaduke--

Your link did not work, but I found the YouTube video of the live performance.

During the verse, the singer is playing and Fm chord with his RH and then just moving his thumb
down to Eb and then to Db while holding the other notes in the Fm chord.

The rhythm is FM on 1, thumb on Eb on 3, then thumb on Db 1 2 3 4. The other keyboard player is playing a higher Fm chord in root position on 1 & 2 & 3 & 4 &.

If you are wanting to play both parts, use your left hand with your thumb on Middle C to play the Fm chord and move your 5th finger to Eb and Db.
Play the higher Fm chord with your RH on the eighth notes.

Hope this helps and Good Luck with the scholarship!

Lynne
