Actually, my confusion came from a seller's auction claiming that they had the 1365, and their description ended with, "Not the cheaper version 1355!!!!" This seems to be the only source with reference to a 'cheaper version'. The high majority of the musician oriented sites had both numbers mentioned. Same drum dimensions, same Pearl stamp embossed with Joey's signature, same everything. I'm wondering if JJ-1355 is just a product # ? Dunno...but I'm with you; I believe the seller may have used this as a ploy to coax the buyer into believing that they were "selling the real deal". Pearl hasn't heard of the 'cheaper version' since production in 2005...surely if a knock-off existed, there would be many a search engine topic about it. There's none.
