I have an Oscar Schmidt "Spirit". It looks exactly like a Cherryburst, flame top, Les Paul. Its a killer guitar. I was told that they sold for about $700 back in the 80's. I like mine better than any of the Les Pauls that I've played. It plays about the same as a good Les Paul but it sounds way better. It has the creamy sound that Les Paul lovers want. Its pretty close to the 1958 Les Paul sound. I bought mine in 1986 and its still just like new. If you like to play clean but still be powerful, this is just the guitar you need. If you like fuzz, then get a $99 guitar and a fuzz box.
