Muffling an Acoustic Drum Set When Using Triggers

When adding triggers to a acoustic set how do you muffle the sound?

ANSWER

It depends on what sound your are trying to muffle. If you want to muffle the actual acoustic sound of the drums, here is a page with some free advice:

If you want to muffle the triggered sound, you would do that with the settings knobs on your sound module.

Triggered acoustic drums will NOT sound like electronic drums in that you will always hear both sounds--the drums and the trigger settings.
