MIDI on computer to Keyboard

What equipment do i need to edit/layer/and or sample sounds on a computer (or other device) and send them back to my keyboard. I have a small, basic Yamaha keyboard if that's important.

Hi, Sam--

You need to make sure that you have a midi compatible keyboard. Then you need to hook the keyboard up to the computer (or other midi compatible device) with the midi in and midi out cords. You need a connection both in and out through the midi ports.

After that, it is dependent upon your particular keyboard and midi source. You will need to consult the manuals for your components.
