MCI Intertek H/P 2000 4 string bass

Hi, I discovered these MCIs were made between 1983-'88. This is in Mint condition. I also understand they were made in Japan for MCI Intertek USA. Early Fender shape "tele" style headstock. It seems to have all the bells and whistles, although passive, and seems like an excellent piece. I also know this particular model to be rare, as almost all were black or White. This is Metallic Red. What little I can find out is that these have a good reputation, and were generally reviewed favorably. Any additional info anyone can provide would be helpful. Hi, John Michael--

This bass is not listed in the Blue Book. I was able to find two mentions of it on the internet--
one selling for $175 and another for $295. The first one was red.

I am going to go ahead and post mthis. Mahybe some of our readers will have more information.
