The serial, number indicates a 1980 manufacture date.

The general info:

HD-28 Herringbone
- similar to the D-28, except has scalloped bracing, bold herringbone purfling/top inlay, zigzag back purfling, and a tortoise color pickguard, mfg. 1976-present.
