Martin guitar 0-1 1944

by Debbie
(Dallas, Texas USA)

I would just like to know what the value might be in an above average condition. Thank you.
(I know it's 70+ years old)

ANSWER

Hi, Debbie--

The serial number dates the guitar at mid-late 1944.

There is no Martin Model 0-1. The models produced in 1944 are: 0-15, 0-17, 0-18, and 0-21. Most of them are valued between $2,100 to 4,000. The exception is the 0-21 which is valued at $5,000 to 6,ooo.

If you send a picture, I will probably be able to tell which model it is.

Lynne

In 1963 my mother bought me a used guitar from a small music store in Lafayette, CA where I took a couple years of private guitar lessons....I'm sure glad she made me stick with it!! I still have and love to play this MARTIN 0-15 serial #171442 anyone tell me anything, year, value range, or anything interesting....Slick Riffs
