Martin D76 would sell
by: Bob

I have #1254 almost perfect except for a few pick marks. Best playing acoustic guitar I have ever owned. I originally bought the guitar new in 1976. It has the original case also in excellent condition. This guitar has rarely ever been out of my house. I would take $3500 for it.

#549 of the D76 Models
by: Bigmac

I have a D76 Martin which my mom had purchased in March of 1977. It was her birthday present for herself. Although, I would never sell it, I think that is valued at $2800-$3500

At the time of production, the D-76 ws the only Martin ever built with a transferable warranty. I believe this is still the case.

One additional key to the value of the guitar to be noted, is that this is one of only a very few models that had a lifetime guarantee from Martin. This guarantee could only be passed from registered owner to registered owner. No one ever mentions this when talking about these pieces but this is very valuable to have.
