Martin D18 150 year anniversary

This guitar is in excellent condition. It is in its original case and plays like a dream. I bought it as I fell in love when i played it. I have no idea of its current value. I did not realize that it could be quite rare as it is a limited edition. I have never seen or heard of another one. Any idea what it could be worth?

Hi, Matt--

This guitar was not listed as a separate "Limited Edition" in nthe Blue Book, nor could I find any information about a D18 150 Anniversary Edition anywhere else on the internet.

If it was made for the 150 Anniversary, it had to be either 1982 or 1983, so here are the listings for D18's of those years:

1980-1989 Exc.$1,400 - 1,750

Avg. $1,000 - 1,150

Sorry I could not be of more help.

Lynne

Hi lynne, The bracing piece that runs down the centre of the guitar is stamped "1833-1983 150th year". I think they made only 150 of these. The bridge saddle appears to be split bone and the nut is also bone.
Thanks for comments and valuation.
