Ludwig Standard 1972--What Kind of Wood?

Can you please tell me what wood makeup these are? I have heard everything from maple/maple/maple to mahogany/maple/mahogany.
And what about the reinforcement rings?

I just came up with a new one--Maple/Poplar/Maple.
