Ludwig Drum Badge 1969

by Patrick Noé
(Quincy, MA)

Hi,
I'm restoring a 14 inch Ludwig Club Date floor tom, with the date Jan. 20, 1969
stamped inside. It's missing a badge, and I'd like to replace it with the correct badge from that month and year in order to complete the restoration. Which style of Ludwig badge should I be searching for (keystone, olive)? Thank you.

ANSWER

Hi, Patrick--

You need this badge:

ludwig drum badge 1969

Started in 1969 and carried into the late 70's Blue and Olive Badge.

Keystone badge not the B&O
by: Anonymous

You need the Keystone badge not the B&O. Your drums are dated for the month of January 1969 so that would mean they were still using the remaining inventory of Keystone badges.
