I traded for this guitar in about 1980 was told that it was about a 1961 #962882 it has all gold trim is natural color. in very good condition thank you.

Hi, Bill--

I checked the serial number and it came up 1971-72. Gibson serial numbers are not all that reliable, but the only Les Paul Custom available in 1961 was EBONY finish. The natural finish became available in 1969.
