Knocking on Heavens Door Strumming Pattern

by Poorna

I would like to know the strumming pattern for Knocking on Heaven's Door by Bob Dylan. I couldn't really understand the tabs you sent for the Eric Clapton version at All Experts.
So please could you try and send a simpler tab of the Bob Dylan version?

ANSWER Hi again, Poorna! I thought that this might be the case--there is just so much I can put into that little answer box at ALL EXPERTS.com.

So I think I found a way to give you a really simple Guitar Pro tab! Just click on this link and you will get a printable PDF version. It may open in a rather small size so you can just enlarge it by clicking on the little + button in the reader. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file You can download the reader for free at the Adobe site.

Knockin' On Heaven's Door

The entire song is just these same 4 measures over and over. I put the arrows in the first measure to tell you which direction to strum.

Let me know how this works for you.
