How Can I Play Slow Drum Beats?

I would like to know if there are any tips to slow drumming?

See I just started playing drums a little more than a week ago and I'm good and everything just not slow enough, like I can play beats at a very fast rate and have precision but I'm not slow enough to even do a song like "96 Quiet Bitter Beings by CKY".

Hi, Sherman--

The best way to learn to control your tempo is to practice with a metronome. You need one that has headphones. There are even quite a few available for iPhone and iPod touch.

Set the metronome for the correct tempo of a song and make yourself stay with it. It will be difficult at first, but don't give up.
