Higher String Gauge on Floyd Rose

I want to put a 10 gauge on my bc rich that has a floyd rose. what would happen if i don't adjust the height for the higher gauge? Can i just put the strings and not worry? PS i'm using 9s on the bc rich right now.

ANSWER

Hi, Bill-

While it would be safer to adjust the height, you can try it with no adjustment. Nothing drastic will happen that I know of. Then if it doesn't work out, go ahead and adjust.

Maybe some of our readers will have other opinions.
