Help with Ear Training for Guitarist

by DanYo
(England)

Hi I've been playing guitar for about 3 years now and I really want to develop my ability to play music by ear. I can get the bass note easily enough but then i start having trouble.

There's a particular I really wasn't to play but no one on the internet has posted the tab. The song is called "Last song" by a japanese artist called Gackt Camui. The song has 3 acoustic guitars in. I've worked out one of the guitar parts but the two lead guitars in the intro I can't get AT ALL! how can I develop these skills.
Also can someone give me help with the intro if they want something to do in any spare time :) thanks

Hi, DanYo--

As far as the ability to hear notes and know what notes to play, a good ear training course would be a great investment for you. I use this one for my students:

Pure Pitch

Regarding the particular song, maybe one of our readers will know where you can find a tab or will have time to tab it for you.

Best Wishes,
Lynne

It looks like a brilliant course. It's just a little too expensive for me at the moment :(
