Harmony Stratotone

Harmony Stratotone

Harmony Stratotone

Hi,

Not quite sure of the model number. It doesn't seem to be printed anywhere on the guitar. Both tone and volume buttons work as well as single pickup. Jack input is intact. Neck is straight.

I believe that this is around 1957 or so.

What can you tell me?
Thank you.
Ron

ANSWER

Hi, Ron--

Here is the info from the Blue Book:

"Harmony´s slab cut solid body Stratotone was available circa mid to late 1950s (discontinued by 1961). While the Stratotone´s name was (probably) derived from Fender´s Stratocaster model, the slim single cutaway design hearkened back to the Telecaster. Solid body Stratotone models featured Harmony/DeArmond pickups and a 3 on a side headstock."

With no specific model, the only other info I could find is a discussion at Harmony H44 Stratotone

I am thinking that this might be your guitar because of the discussion of the wide neck.

Hope this has been helpful.

Best Wishes,
Lynne

Update - It's a H45
by: Anonymous

It's an H45 model. 1958-59 had the long Y on Harmony. Later models had the atom on the pick guard. I'm guessing that this is a 1958-59 model as there's also no indication of a reinforced neck as were on later models.
